COVID-19 Updates: Sandy Alexander, Inc. Business Continuity

COVID-19 Updates: Sandy Alexander, Inc. Business Continuity

March 21, 2020

To: Valued Clients & Partners:

Everyone’s daily routine has been impacted in some way by the global COVID‐ 19 outbreak. We assure you that we are taking all appropriate precautions at our facilities, practicing socials distancing, only allowing essential outsiders into our facilities with increased cleaning and sanitization schedules. The safety and health of our employees are paramount and key to operations. We have implemented our COVID‐ 19 preparedness plan and are thus far happy with the results. Employees, where applicable are working remotely with great success, essential manufacturing employees are working and following all protective measures and our supply chains are fully providing the necessary services we require.

Recently many states have issued statewide “Stay at Home Orders” and closures of all non‐ essential retail businesses. We are pleased to report that printing has been deemed as an essential business. We foresee no facility closures due to the recent orders implemented. Currently our intentions are to keep our manufacturing plants open with our network of resources available to keep your business moving.

Understandably there’s a lot to be done and together we are doing it. We value your loyalty during these trying times. My best that you and your families stay safe and healthy. If you have any questions or concerns that require our immediate attention please, feel free to reach out to your representative or me directly.

Yours in health,

To: Valued Clients & Partners:

Given the rapid pace at which COVID-19 is spreading, Sandy Alexander has elected to initiate Level II of its contingency plan in an effort to mitigate the risks to our employees, clients and vendors. We are continually monitoring all locations and meeting with Senior Management daily.

There are no reported cases at any of our facilities at this time and all of our operations are fully functional.

Our Level II implementation includes:

Employees:

  • It is mandated that employees stay home if they are sick. Employees that exhibit symptoms and report to work will be sent home in accordance with these health guidelines.
  • We have requested that our employees that have traveled to or through infected areas self-quarantine and work from home for two weeks.
  • All corporate travel has ceased.
  • Full implementation of video and teleconferencing methods for all meetings until further notice.
  • Elimination of in-house meetings in confined spaces.
  • Implementation of rotating “work from home” protocol where applicable.

Clients & Vendors:

  • We are requesting that all facility tours, visits and press OK’s cease effective immediately.
  • All on-site vendor visiting is prohibited until further notice.
  • Any approved outside visitors will be required to fill out a health questionnaire prior to entry.
  • Deliveries are to be made thru the designated receiving areas. Drivers will be required to maintain social responsibility.

We urge everyone to implement COVID-19 precautionary measures as outlined by the WHO and CDC. We will continue to provide these updates as additional information becomes available. If you have any questions or concerns that require our immediate attention please, feel free to reach out to your representative or me directly.

Yours in health,

To: Valued Clients & Partners:

The safety of our employees and ensuring uninterrupted business continuity are our primary focus here at Sandy Alexander as we learn more above COVID-19 and how it’s spreading in the US and globally. We are continually monitoring the CDC and local government agencies websites for infection information and communicating with our employees through our internal messaging network regularly.

Senior Management has created a 4-stage business interruption contingency plan specific to addressing the COVID-19 outbreak. Ranging from low risk to severe, we are monitoring potential local issues at our facilities and have currently activated Stage 1 (low risk). Our national network of manufacturing facilities ensures that work can be shifted if necessary, to accommodate the timely deliveries of our products.

Our immediate response to the reduce the possibility of exposure are:

  •  All corporate travel has ceased until further notice unless deemed business critical. Teleconference and video technology will be utilized to conduct meetings with our client, co-workers and vendors.
  • We have requested that our employees that have traveled to or through infected areas self-quarantine and work from home.
  • All facility cleaning crews frequency have increased with twice daily sanitizing of all public surfaces such as counter tops, conference tables, chairs, doorknobs/push points.
  • Alcohol based hand sanitizers have been strategically placed throughout the facilities.
  • Awareness signage throughout the facilities as a reminder of simple hygiene protocol such as:
-Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
-Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash, and wash your hands.
-Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth throughout the day.
-Stay home when you are sick.
    -Reduce sharing of offices supplies

While we believe the risk to business interruption in unlikely there is always the possibility of escalating our contingency plans. Our representatives will ensure that any of these issues, should they arise, will be communicated to our employees, clients and vendors. If you have any questions or concerns that require our immediate attention please, feel free to reach out to your representative or me directly.

Yours in health,
